26th Annual Walk to raise funds to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides – a national organization that trains Dog Guides to assist Canadians with disabilities. There are five types of Dog Guides funded by the program, they include: Canine Vision, Hearing Ear, Special Skills, Seizure
Response, and Autism Assistance Guide Dogs. The Lions Foundation of Canada provides these Dogs to those in need for Free. The raising and training of a Guide Dog requires an investment of over $20,000.

Police are issuing an alert to Mississauga residents after a dog was deliberately poisoned while out for a walk with its owner Monday.
The owner was walking his dog, a 70-pound Weimaraner, in Tom Chater Memorial Park in the area of Burhamthorpe Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard Monday afternoon when the dog ate from a yogurt cup lying on the ground.
